Since the release we have learned about some things that we could have done better, and the next update will try to remedy some of those issues.
One of the primary concerns has been the lack of offline play and the requirement of account registration. We will be remedying that with a one-time key-only authentication that requires internet access, but after that you will no longer be required to have a working internet connection.
Secondly, Conquest still seems to be hard to introduce players to, due to difficulty to see what is happening once a turn ends. We are improving that by giving units more animations -- particularly travel and death animations -- which will hopefully ease the transition between turns and not leave players confused.
Our engine has also been improved greatly and we now have bump mapping, per-pixel lighting and dynamic shadows to make the game look better than ever. Gore will also not be missing.
Those are some of the highlights coming in the update (hopefully) next weekend. Stay tuned.
